Lancaster County Barn Tour
Dear Friends of Preservation,
As you may have heard by now, the Trust has partnered with the Historical Society of the Cocalico Valley to plan an ongoing, self-guided, exterior-only, driving tour of the beautiful historic barns of Lancaster County. We are planning for a launch date of October 21, 2023 (stay tuned for more details).
The Lancaster County Barn Tour will highlight the finest examples of historically and architecturally significant barns throughout Lancaster County and will include a beautiful, keepsake tour book that you can purchase and use as a guide to view the exterior of the barns on your own. The 8 ½” x 11” tour book will include both historic and current photos of the barns along with a detailed description of their significance to our history.
We have been seeking sponsorships from corporations and local businesses in the area to sponsor the tour. Based on their level of sponsorship, their company’s name, logo, and ads will be featured in the book. To learn more about being a corporate sponsor, see the attached document.
We are still seeking a primary tour sponsor (Bank (Switzer) Barn sponsor, $5000). The primary tour sponsor will receive five tour books, inclusion of their name and logo on the cover of the book, flyers, media, and other print advertisement, and a full-page ad in the tour book. Deadline for sponsorships is July 31.
The main reason for this email is to make our members and local supporters of the Trust and historic preservation aware that we are also seeking $100 Patron Sponsorships for the tour. A Patron Sponsorship includes your name(s) listed in the Patron Sponsorship listing in the tour book as well as a free copy of the tour book. If you would like to be a $100 Patron Sponsor, please visit HSCV’s website by July 31, 2023.
This is a very important event for both organizations, as well as the County, and we are anticipating strong support and interest in the barn tour; not only sponsorship of the tour, but also participation in the tour.
