Project Archivist Spotlight: Liz McIlhenney Gemmell
Project Archivist
Elizabeth (“Liz”) McIlhenney Gemmell will be in charge of overseeing the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County’s (HPTLC) digitization project and the establishment of an archives program.
Liz is currently a graduate student at Simmons University and is in the process of earning her Master’s in Library & Information Sciences (MLIS) in Archives Management. In addition to being the HPTLC’s new Project Archivist, she is also the Archives Processing Assistant at the Archives and Special Collections at Penn State Harrisburg.
When she is not working in the archive or studying, Liz is absolutely spending her free time reading with her husband, Maxwell, whom she met while working at Barnes & Noble in 2019.
