Celebrate October Art Walk weekend with artist Lisa Troupe
Experience the Essence of Lancaster County Landscapes with Lisa Troupe at October’s First Friday & Artwalk Weekend
Join us at the historic Sehner-Ellicott-Von Hess House, located at 123 North Prince Street in Downtown Lancaster, PA on Gallery Row, as local artist Lisa Troupe presents her captivating expressionist oil paintings during Downtown Lancaster’s First Friday and Artwalk Weekend. This special exhibition will be held on Friday, October 4th, from 12-8 pm, and continue through Artwalk Weekend on October 5th and 6th, from 10 am to 4 pm.
Lisa Troupe draws deep inspiration from the rolling farmlands of Lancaster County, an endless source of creativity and beauty. Through her expressive brushstrokes and rich, vibrant use of color, she captures the movement and life inherent in these panoramic landscapes. Her work transcends traditional representations, with color playing a vital role in conveying energy and emotion. Lisa’s unique style also incorporates texture, movement, and a deliberate distortion of perspective, adding depth and dimension to her pieces.
As Lisa explains, “My choice to paint landscapes isn’t about replicating reality; it’s about capturing the essence and movement of a place.” Visitors to this exhibition will be treated to an artistic experience that goes beyond the surface, inviting them to engage with Lancaster’s landscapes on a deeper, more emotional level.
Don’t miss the opportunity to witness Lisa Troupe’s incredible work in person at the Sehner-Ellicott-Von Hess House for this October First Friday event, hosted by the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County.
