The Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County is proud to host an architectural walking tour in the City of Lancaster featuring the beautiful historic buildings designed by the incredible architect, C. Emlen Urban. The 45-minute tour will include many beautiful Urban sites in downtown Lancaster; each one more architecturally interesting than the one before. Tours will depart every hour starting at 9:00 am from the Sehner-Ellicott-von Hess house (home of the Trust) located at 123 N. Prince Street. The last tour will depart at 4:00pm. We recommend purchasing your tickets in advance online but we will also be selling any available tickets on the day of the event. Each tour will accommodate 20 people.

We are also excited to be partnering with local renowned architect and C. Emlen Urban expert, Gregory J. Scott, FAIA who will be guiding three separate 2-hour walking tours in downtown Lancaster. The three different tours will include:

  • Chestnut Hill tour (9-11am)
  • Center City tour (12-2 pm)
  • Church & Mansion tour (3-5 pm).

Each one of these specially guided tours can only accommodate 24 participants, so reserve your spot right away!

Every tour participant will receive a beautiful keepsake tour book that features the beautiful architecture of C. Emlen Urban.
