Join us Sunday, October 18th from 3-6PM on the Grounds of the Roslyn Carriage House, 321 N. President Avenue Lancaster, PA. Cost to attend is $150 for members and $175 for non-members. Registration deadline is October 2nd.
This year, the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County proudly celebrates its 60th anniversary.
Since its founding in 1966, the Trust has remained steadfast in its mission while expanding its reach and staying relevant in a changing world. It's reassuring to know that, decades later, we are still here protecting, collaborating, educating, and championing the enduring value of historic preservation.
This milestone event honors the Trust's essential role in safeguarding the historic beauty of Lancaster County. We will recognize the many preservation champions who paved the way, celebrate our shared successes, and take pride in all we have accomplished together as an organization.

This celebration also serves as a fundraiser. All proceeds support HPT and strengthen our ability to advocate, assist, and partner with the community through preservation programs and services.

- Nibble on stationed hor d'oeuvres by Scarlet Runner
- Sip a signature cocktail, wine, beer, or a seasonal non-alcoholic drink from Roaming Libations' mobile bar
- Savor sweet delicacies from Byers Butterflake Bakery
- Catch up with old friends and meet new ones while swaying to the jazzy musical vibes of Ryan Kauffman and Friends
About the Carriage House
This local landmark was designed for Peter Watt, co-founder of the Watt & Shand department store by another local legend – C. Emlen Urban.
More than a mere afterthought, it was designed to match the Chateauesque architectural style of the Roslyn Mansion and was completed in 1896.
In 2024, it was placed on HPT’s endangered list. It is now in the safe and professional hands of Gregg & Terri Scott. They’re graciously allowing us to join them at the beginning of their restoration journey.
