2022 Lancaster County Historic Preservation Summit

(Check-in at 3:00 pm will be at the 123 N. Prince Street (the location of the cocktail reception and home of the Trust. It is one block from the Ware Center. There is a parking garage next door.)
Members of Historical Societies are invited to attend the summit on Friday, September 30, from 3pm-8pm. The event will begin with check-in and a cocktail reception at the Sehner-Ellicott-von Hess house located at 123 N. Prince Street, one block away from the Ware Center. Registration is free and includes a cocktail reception with members of the municipalities from 3-4 pm, a presentation from our Keynote Speaker, Donovan Rypkema, from 4-5 pm, followed by presentations from local experts on historic preservation.

- 4:00 pm – Keynote Speaker, Donovan Rypkema, Principal from PlaceEconomics – The Multiple Impacts of Preservation: Recent Lessons from Around the Country
- 5:00 pm – Presentation from Tom Ryan, Robin Sarrat, and Randolph Harris from LancasterHistory – Completing the Vision: The Creation of the Thaddeus Stevens and Lydia Hamilton Smith Center for History and Democracy
- 6:00 pm – Presentation from Frank Grumbine from PHMC – Understanding the PA SHPO
- 7:00 pm – Presentation from Mindy Gulden Crawford from Preservation PA – How to Protect and Preserve the Places You Love
- 7:45 – 8:00 pm – Wrap up from Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County
Registration deadline is September 16 and is limited to the first 350 registrants.
